House Fire

A house in Grand Bank was damaged by fire this afternoon.

Baxter Grandy’s house on Hickman Street in Grand Bank had flames shooting out from the second story when Volunteer Fire Department members arrived on the scene around 12 noon today (Thursday).

A Newfoundland Power truck, EMT personnel and provincial wildlife officials also responded.

No one was reported hurt.

Firefighters were still on the scene but the fire was reported contained.
